I've been plagued by back pain, leg pain and chronic fatigue since 2004 and am finally feeling better. Elizabeth Keith Movement Education in Phoenix Arizona is a big part of my return to health. I've received adjustments from and seen at least 15-20 different doctors and Elizabeth Keith (not a doctor) is at the top of that list. She is a true healer.

I first attended one of Elizabeth Keith’s Tai Chi classes almost 10 years ago, and found such great pleasure in her methods and knowledge that I became a staunch student. She brings together all the schools of thought on Healing, Movement, Energy, Meridians…Chinese gems, Universal healing tidbits... Everything I had been studying for over 45 years.
Luckily, Elizabeth is a Feldenkrais® practitioner as well and I needed her services there too!
Then she began having Bones For Life® classes and workshops that I will attend as long as she offers them, especially now that she is considering training the trainers. She is Perfect for that!
Elizabeth’s kindness, sensitivity, and solid anatomy/physiology knowledge is astounding.
Thank you, Elizabeth!

I have been a Bones for Life® student of Elizabeth's for 3 years and I have had excellent results from the program. Elizabeth is an outstanding teacher who is able to give excellent feedback and instruction because of her years of experience in Feldenkrais® and Bones.
In addition, the Bones material is excellent. I have better posture, my back used to bother me, now rarely does, and overall, I feel much healthier. It is amazing to me how subtle shifts in movement and brain patterns can have such a profound effect on movement and health.
I heartily recommend Elizabeth and the Bones for Life® course to anyone. It is outstanding.

“In 2009 I had a series of falls while hiking. My rehab progressed well but I noticed a new feeling of doubt and fear of repeating the devastating falls that broke my arm in three places. I worked with Elizabeth first with Tai Chi and then with Feldenkrais and learned that my lack of awareness would sabotage my hiking. With her help I have regained my confidence. Thank you, Elizabeth.”

When I started attending Elizabeth's class over four years ago, my recovery process from back problems had stagnated. Now I continue to learn to move more easily and consider myself healthy. I thank Elizabeth for a huge contribution to that recovery.
I have never attended a class that remained effective over such a long time period. Her ridiculously deep level of knowledge allows each class to be tailored to the participants' needs. The class is not only useful for the improvement of standing, sitting, and movement but she expands it into practical application, including a short analysis of the applicable anatomy and physiology. Elizabeth is professional, entertaining, available and attentive. She stays on track, never wastes my time and responds thoughtfully to questions. A bonus is the long-term attendance of many of my classmates, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie, even friendship.
I attended Bones 1, 2, and 3 from other trainers, and then from Elizabeth. In my opinion, the quality of her sessions and her level of expertise easily equal those of the Bones for Life® Trainers whose classes I attended before hers.

I was initially treated by Elizabeth in the mid 1980’s but subsequently moved. Now that I once again live in the Phoenix area, I sought out Elizabeth about 2 years ago. Over that period I have tried to routinely attend group classes and have had numerous individual appointments with her. Elizabeth is extremely intuitive and has amazing insights into body movement. She is also well connected with practitioners of other therapeutic modalities.
I have been fortunate to experience two general benefits resulting from Elizabeth’s classes. The first is the immediate therapeutic benefit that occurs from the integrative movements that Elizabeth leads the class through in her comfortable, personable style. By the end of each class I always have a demonstrable positive change in performance of the movements that were being taught as well as a general feeling that my body is more aligned and integrated.
The second primary benefit of the classes is the knowledge and awareness gained that can be used proactively on a daily basis to more effectively perform body movements such as walking, standing, reaching, etc. I have gained significantly more awareness and thoughtfulness when both anticipating performance of a specific movement and while actually performing the movement. For me personally, learning to integrate movements involved in walking has had a significant impact on my body alignment and mechanics resulting in more comfortable, relaxed walking. For particular movements that I want to address or reinforce I frequently will duplicate the movements that I previously learned in classes.

I am pleased to recommend Elizabeth Keith as a Feldenkrais ®practitioner. Her work has helped heal my very complicated traumatized body and helped me walk and move again with ever increasing success.
Her knowledge base and broad training has persistently encouraged me to practice what she teaches with excellent results. Each new lesson and individual session moves me forward in a positive direction. I am forever grateful for Elizabeth's presence and skill in my life. Thank you, Elizabeth.

Participating in the group classes for both Tai Chi and Bones for Life have given me increased confidence in my movement patterns during my day-to-day activities.
I have always felt somewhat insecure performing a variety of movement activities, but with Elizabeth’s expert instruction, encouragement and enthusiasm, along with the camaraderie of my fellow students, I now feel I have achieved a level of confidence allowing me to be more stable and secure in these activities.
The tangible benefits I have achieved over the past seven years of classes are innumerable, but definitely include an improvement in my balance, coordination and posture. I have also gained a much greater appreciation for the importance of mindful movement techniques. While I may not always demonstrate these techniques, I have become much more aware of my body and my movement patterns, and I try to make necessary adjustments.
This awareness benefits me every day, not only in my physical well-being, but also my overall quality of life.

I had a serious knee problem a few years ago. It was painful, but more importantly, it stopped me from walking/hiking/running. I need to be outdoors every day, it's part of my life.
Elizabeth showed me the Knee Relief Process from the Bones for Life® Program. It helped immediately and rapidly made it possible for me to get back outside and hike.
I now do this simple process using the Bones for Life® wrap twice a day - during my morning exercises and again in the evening. It is simple, easy and I can feel my knees getting stronger.
Thank you, Elizabeth.

These classes (Bones for Life) have greatly amplified my sense of how I move through the world and what it means to inhabit a body in three dimensions. I feel like I've become more aware of habits and patterns of motion that accrued over a lifetime, and found more fluid and intuitive ways to walk and sit that have improved my quality of life a great deal. I have a lot less tension in my muscles and my overall pain level is greatly reduced. My lower back especially feels better than it has in many years.

I have been attending Bones For Life classes with Elizabeth for a couple of years now. I also have been in group sessions for Feldenkrais classes and private sessions.
When I started taking the Bones For Life classes I had no idea just what it was all about but it sounded interesting.
I've always been interested in health and self improvement options for my body. I was amazed at the knowledge I gained in these great classes. In every class I gain a better sense of my body and how to help it move in a more organic way to help keep my bones stay strong as I age. I believe these classes give me the knowledge I need to keep and improve my bone strength, stability and mobility to live my life to my fullest potential.
I believe God puts special people in our lives to help us reach our true potential and different circumstances in our life's journey.
Elizabeth is a very knowledgeable practitioner and teaches with her heart in each and every class. She has been given the gift of touch and gives each member in her classes positive instruction and feedback when they are in need. She adds a lot of interest during class with her great personality and wonderful stories and jokes. I must admit to dozing off to sleep a couple of times just relaxing to the sound of her voice and then awaken and join back in to catch up with the process, oops......just a minute or so not very long and I think I may not be the only one guilty of this.
I'm positive my movement and structure has improved since attending these classes on a regular basis. I cannot imagine not attending these body improving classes! Every time a session comes to an end my body feels aligned and strong, I am more aware of how I position myself in everyday activities. I've seen and witnessed big and small positive changes in fellow class members in each and every class I've taken. Seeing these positive changes in others gives me the hope for all of us to improve our well being and structure no matter what our age and challenges might be.

Today I pulled up for my weekly Thursday Bones for LifeClass that I've been attending the past three years and thought about how grateful I am to have this practice, and my teacher, Elizabeth Keith, in my life.
When I came to this class I was struggling with pain off and on in multiple areas, especially in my knees since I was a teen. I had been teaching yoga already for about nine years, and learning and teaching my yoga students a lot of great alignment principles. Even with that, I still struggled with poor posture (seeing a chiropractor here and there for "forward head posture" and neck pain/headaches a few times a month), and a pronounced pigeon-toed gait that gave me pain in my feet, ankles, hips and especially knees. You could recognize me coming a mile away just from the way I walked!
After a few months of coming to BFL on Thursdays, I started to realize that I always looked forward to Thursdays, and it became my favorite day of the week! I always felt better in my body and even more relaxed, calm and confident! Today I rarely if ever have knee pain, my posture has improved dramatically (people commented last summer at my 20 year high school reunion!) and my gait has changed the most. I now love walking and do so for at least an hour a day with no pain, and I don’t even remember the last time I took over the counter pain medication for knee pain! I haven't gone to see my chiropractor for at least 3 months.
Yoga taught me a lot about being mindful, feeling my body and alignment principles for yoga poses.. but Elizabeth was the first person who taught me how to move functionally, for day to day movements, activities, and especially walking. We learn self-help strategies to avoid injury and also help with pain when it does arise.
I love BFL so much that I have decided I would like to teach others and have begun training with Elizabeth. The principles of this system have colored all my movements and even my philosophy on life.. I now have hope and optimism about my body and greater confidence! Thanks to Elizabeth and BFL.

Elizabeth,
After tearing my pectoral muscle in 2002/03 a cascade of spinal issues began. I didn't sit down comfortably for longer than ten minutes for 7 years. Travel terrified me because if my leg didn't feel like it was burning while being squeezed, my back would clamp down. I couldn't be upright for longer than two or two and a half hours for 7 years and that was following a year of back pain starting at being upright for just a few seconds.
Before I knew it, I'd had two spinal surgeries. I wouldn't have had the fusion in hindsight, but when a solution to pain presents itself, sometimes we'll do anything. My wife and I lost my 30's and I cried more often than I'd brag about, but I was filled with self-pity and anger. My mind is busy and for the first time in my life I've been forced to sit still and learn about myself. My head can be a bad neighborhood so shopping and simple activities I no longer take for granted.
Being stationary for long periods is still a challenge, but for the first time in more than 10 very difficult years, I know I'm getting better. Allison and I go out to the movies again and I travelled 3 times this past summer! I can finally sit, stand and walk again because of you. The past six months have been amazing. I feel like I'm getting younger and am genuinely optimistic.
I bet I've seen at least 30 or 35 doctors, 5 of whom are D.O.s and gave me spinal adjustments. I've also had adjustments by 5 different chiropractors and one very talented physical therapist/personal trainer. It was during this time that I discovered the most helpful people rarely take insu
rance. Elizabeth, your adjustments are the most thorough I've had. After you've released and gently reconnected my body parts, it's as if I've rebooted. The master blueprint reveals itself to a tired body in need of respite and that is hard to find without some seriously talented help.
What none of the other professionals I mentioned taught me was how to stay aligned. Your classes have also played a crucial role in my return to health. I've learned how to fix myself when in the past I'd require professional care and also how to move in ways to avoid spasm or injury, giving my body and brain more time to integrate the rebooted program before requiring a professional adjustment again. I'm sure it's a dual-edged deal for you because you receive the satisfaction found in helping others, but lose business as you are required less often.
That's why I sing your praises every chance I get. The other two professionals I regularly see know all about you and how highly I think of you. When anyone mentions physical pain and it's appropriate, I share my experience and offer up your info. I am a believer in everything you're about. I am your life long advocate and friend. Thank you so very much.

"I have traveled the world meeting tai chi and qigong teachers around the globe. Elizabeth Keith's tai chi classes are among the most remarkable in that Elizabeth's low-key, easy-to-follow instruction, not only helps students get tai chi's profound benefits, but have fun while they are doing it. In my opinion, that is the essence of tai chi, for it to be an enjoyable as well as profoundly healthful experience. I HIGHLY recommend her classes to anyone seeking better health!"

"Since starting Elizabeth Keith’s Tai Chi classes 2 yrs ago, my doctor and I have been amazed with the reversal of my osteoporosis and the drop in my blood pressure. Those changes, and the resulting reduction of medication, are the measurable results of adding Tai Chi to my life. Equally, if not more important, has been the ever-expanding ways it enriches my thinking, mental well-being and general outlook on life. It's taking me in directions I never imagined. To get these results, one must not only attend class but also embrace Tai Chi into one’s daily life. Ms. Keith’s approach facilitates this, regardless of when one starts the journey.
