The Feldenkrais Method® was developed by Moshé Feldenkrais, D.Sc.,(1904-1984), who synthesized insights from physics, motor development, bio-mechanics, psychology, and martial arts to develop a powerful, effective, and practical application, demonstrating the inseparableness of thought, feeling, perception and action.
In Elizabeth's experience, she has found that anyone-- young or old, physically challenged or physically fit-- can benefit from The Feldenkrais Method® and Tai Chi. Both methods are beneficial for those experiencing chronic or acute pain of the back, neck, shoulder, hip, legs, or knee, as well as for healthy individuals who wish to enhance their self-image or performance. The Feldenkrais Method® and Tai Chi Movement have been very helpful in dealing with central nervous system conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Parkinson Disease, and Stroke. Musicians, singers, actors, and artists can extend their abilities and enhance creativity. Many Seniors enjoy using it to help with balance and to retain or regain their ability to move without strain or discomfort.
Elizabeth has been teaching the Feldenkrais Method® to individuals and groups since 1986.
